There are two types of product photography that I have come across so far. The first is the kind that is usually needed for websites and banners. This type of product photography needs to you have a white background and great lighting because there is only so much Lightroom can do.
The second kind is what I am more familiar with. This type of product photography usually involves lots of props and creativity because you want to showcase the product without overshadowing it with great props.
For this particular shoot, the client had most of the props in hand so all I had to do was add in my own creativity and shoot away. I used a combination of my 3 prime lenses but in hindsight I would say the better option would have been to stick with the 35mm and 50mm. Either way I managed to capture some great images for the client and you can view more of the pictures on their Instagram page here.
