Freshly Baked Cookies and Flatlays

Freshly Baked Cookies and Flatlays

A good recipe developer regularly tests out their own recipes. This is why I decided to try out my chocolate chip cookie recipe this month. I did everything the same way but reduced the amount I scooped out for each cookie. After tasting one, I was sure that the recipe is good so I moved on to the styling. After some research on Pinterest, I was ready to try and create my own flat lay. I started with the backboard then added the cookies, mitten, cloth, a cup of coffee and finally the brown bowl.

The brown bowl seemed out of place with the soft colours of the other items in the picture so I took it out and placed the broken cookie on the cloth.

I also tried out an image without my hand in it. Instead, I focused on the broken cookie.

For this shoot, I used my Nikon D5600 and 35mm lens with ISO100, f/5.6 and 1/8.
